2024 Benefits Open Enrollment
October 23 – November 3, 2023
Open Enrollment for 2024 benefits is now closed. Visit the plan summaries or premiums pages for 2024 plan details.
If you did not take action during Open Enrollment, you will not be enrolled in some benefits.
- Your medical, dental, health savings account (HSA), and supplemental AD&D elections will continue in 2024.
- You will not be enrolled in the healthcare or dependent care FSA. You must re-enroll each year.
- You will not receive the tobacco-free premium reduction in 2024. You must re-sign the affidavit for yourself and your spouse each year.
- You will not be enrolled in the new critical illness plan in 2024. You must enroll in this plan during Open Enrollment.
You must make your elections during the Open Enrollment period.
Open Enrollment began on Monday, October 23, 2023, and closed on Friday, November 3, 2023. During this period, you had the opportunity to change your benefits and add or remove dependents, with changes going into effect on January 1, 2024.
The elections you make during Open Enrollment are effective January 1, 2024, and must remain in place all year.
IRS regulations require that benefit elections made during Open Enrollment remain in place for the entire year unless you experience an IRS-defined qualifying life event. These events, such as marriage, divorce, loss of other coverage, or the adoption/birth of a child, allow you to make corresponding changes to your elections, but only within 30 days of the event. An exception is that you can change your HSA contribution anytime during the year.
